## About KAIO KAIO is building a blockchain protocol to eliminate inefficiencies in legal, financial, and operational workflows for private markets. We go beyond simple tokenisation by enabling seamless, on-chain access to private market assets across platforms and public networks. Our core product focuses on the tokenisation of investment funds using blockchain infrastructure, laying the foundation for composable digital securities integrated with institutional services such as collateralised lending, custody, and secondary trading. ## The Role We are seeking a **Senior Platform Engineer** who owns the foundation that makes continuous delivery possible. In a DevOps organization, platform is not a support function — it is what allows product teams to ship with confidence. You will own cloud architecture, CI/CD, observability, security posture, release quality, and incident response. The scope is broad by design. We are a startup and priorities shift. What matters is that you can reason from first principles and adapt without losing rigor. This is a senior, hands-on role suited for someone who has owned applications end-to-end and is comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, technically demanding environment. If you need detailed task lists to know what to work on, this role is not a fit. ## What You Own - Cloud architecture and infrastructure as code - CI/CD pipelines, environments, and release quality gates - Security controls embedded across the SDLC — not bolted on after - Observability that informs real decisions - Incident response, runbooks, and post-mortems - Architecture health and technical debt — identifying it, documenting it, driving resolution - Disaster recovery planning and testing ## What We're Looking For - 5+ years running production cloud systems in startup or scale-up environments - Strong fundamentals: networking, distributed systems, infrastructure economics - Hands-on with infrastructure as code and major cloud platforms - Comfortable owning incident response end to end - Experience embedding security into pipelines, not after them - Opinionated — and able to defend your opinions clearly Blockchain or DeFi experience is a plus. Strong systems thinking is required. ## How We Work - Engineers are trusted to own their domain end-to-end - Healthy debate and disagreement are expected - Decisions are documented and revisited as conditions change - We optimise for long-term clarity and leverage, not short-term speed ## What This Role Is Not This is not a role for: - Engineers who follow patterns without understanding them - People who avoid technical friction to keep the peace - Engineers who prioritise technical elegance over real-world security and reliability ## What We Offer - Competitive salary and benefits - Opportunity to solve complex, high-impact problems in blockchain and private markets - High autonomy and ownership — you will shape core protocol decisions - A fully remote, collaborative, and intellectually honest engineering culture When applying, mention the word **CANDYSHOP** to show you read the job post completely.

This role sits at the heart of how Polymarket operates. You'll own and evolve the systems that power every market we create and launch, while also building across the broader ecosystem of operational systems that keep a high-growth company running. Your primary focus will be the **Markets Portal**: the tooling, automation pipelines, and deployment infrastructure our team uses to bring new markets to life at scale. Beyond that, you'll touch a wide range of systems – from customer service APIs to operational workflows – that support the teams and processes behind our core product. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, thrives on variety, and enjoys building things that have immediate, tangible impact. ## What You'll Do - **Own the Markets Portal.** Build and evolve the systems used to create, configure, and launch markets – the engine that drives Polymarket's content and growth. - **Build markets automation.** Design and implement pipelines that streamline how new markets are researched, structured, deployed, and managed at scale. - **Ship deployments end-to-end.** Take features and improvements from concept to production, with real impact on how the business operates every day. - **Work across a broad set of systems.** Beyond the Markets Portal, you'll build and maintain a range of operational systems (APIs, dashboards, workflows) that support teams across the company and tie directly into the core product. - **Work across the stack.** Touch both frontend and backend code, using modern frameworks to solve practical problems quickly and cleanly. - **Partner with operations teams.** Work closely with the people using these systems daily: understand their workflows, gather feedback, and iterate fast. - **Write clean, maintainable code.** Build systems that scale as Polymarket grows, and help keep our codebase high quality through code reviews and engineering best practices. ## What We're Looking For - 1+ years of professional software development experience - Solid experience building full-stack web applications - Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS - Experience with React and Node.js (Next.js is a bonus) - A bias for action: you're comfortable shipping quickly and iterating based on real feedback - Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching: you can manage multiple systems and stakeholders without losing momentum - Great communication and collaboration skills: you enjoy working across teams to solve real problems - A passion for blockchain, decentralized finance, and freedom of speech - **(Plus)** Experience with workflow automation or deployment pipelines - **(Plus)** Background in fintech, crypto, or data-heavy applications - **(Plus)** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent ## Benefits - Competitive salary & equity - Unlimited PTO - Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage - 401k match - Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories *When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.*
